Israeli authorities planned to strike Iran on Monday, April 15, in response to the attack that took place on the night of April 13–14.

According to the publication, Israel has promised to respond to Iran's unprecedented missile attack using drones. However, the White House warned Israel that an escalation in relations with Iran would not serve the interests of the United States and Israel. In particular, Biden urged Israel to “be careful” with any retaliatory measures.

According to the source, the United States is concerned that continued counterattacks could provoke a broader regional escalation.

"We're not sure why or how close this was to an actual attack," the U.S. official said.

Another official said that Israel informed the Biden administration on Monday that it had decided to wait.

A third source said that a "small Israeli strike" inside Iran would likely provoke Iranian retaliation. Although Biden hopes that Iran's new response to Israel will not be as powerful.

It is worth noting that this is the second time since Saturday that Israel has postponed its decision on Iran's response. The decision on Israel's response has been postponed.
