Italian Foreign Minister: G7 to work on sanctions against Iran
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has said that sanctions against Iran will be discussed at a meeting of the Group of Seven foreign ministers.
The Italian minister's statement was quoted by ANSA.
According to him, during the meeting on the Italian island of Capri, the ministers will work on new sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
"We will work together to try to impose sanctions on Iran. Let's see if we can find a solution and what kind of sanctions could be imposed," Tayyani said.
He added that at yesterday's video meeting of EU foreign ministers, a proposal was made to impose sanctions against those who provide missiles and drones, "which were then launched against Ukraine, against Israel or merchant ships in the Red Sea".
