The speaker said that now is "a critical time on the world stage".

"I think that providing lethal assistance to Ukraine right now is critical. It's the right thing to do," he said.

In Johnson's opinion, it is better to "send bullets to Ukraine than American men". He noted that he believes in the possibility of a Russian attack on NATO countries, in particular, the Balkans or Poland.

"I really believe the intelligence and the briefings that we've been getting that I think Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, and Iran are the axis of evil," the House speaker said.

Johnson added that Russia, China, and Iran are coordinating their actions, and Russian dictator Putin could "march on Europe" if allowed.

It is worth noting that the United States has been unable to approve the extension of funding for assistance to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan for many months.

Recently, US House Speaker Mike Johnson proposed dividing the Senate's national security bill into four separate documents. That is, the $60 billion in aid to Ukraine was separated into a separate bill.

While the document has not yet been approved, discussions continue in the US Congress. US President Joe Biden has promised to "immediately sign" the bills when they are approved by Congress.
