Lithuania announces new military aid package for Ukraine

The Lithuanian government announces a new military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense reports.

On May 25, Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas took part in a remote meeting of donor countries in the Ramstein format, where he noted the importance of providing Ukraine with a Euro-Atlantic perspective and presented the latest package of military assistance from Lithuania.

"Ukraine's victory is the only thing that can restore peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area," the minister said, emphasizing that Lithuania will continue to be a consistent friend of Ukraine for as long as it takes.

According to Anusauskas, the new package of military aid to Ukraine from Lithuania will include anti-missile equipment, ammunition, dry food rations, and other assistance.

According to him, Lithuania's military aid to Ukraine will soon reach 465 million euros.

The official also emphasized the importance of training the Ukrainian military, noting that Lithuania has significantly increased the volume of training and the number of instructors assigned to it.

In addition to training, this year Lithuania is transferring weapons and equipment, providing medical care and rehabilitation, and transferring funds to international funds to support Ukraine.
