Night attack by Russians: 10 cruise missiles and 23 Shaheds destroyed

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 10 cruise missiles and 23 enemy Shaheds during tonight’s enemy attack on Ukraine by the Russian occupiers.

This is reported with reference to the Air Force of the AFU.

It is noted that the night attack lasted from 10:00 p.m. May 25 to 5:00 a.m. May 26.

This time, the invaders shifted the direction of the strike to the east, attacking critical infrastructure and facilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

A total of 17 rocket launches of various types and 31 drone strikes were recorded:

• 10 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95ms aircraft from the Caspian Sea area;

• 7 S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from Tokmak area (temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region);

• 31 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 strike drones to the south and north.

The Air Force forces and means, in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, in the areas of responsibility of air commands East, Centre and South destroyed:

• all 10 air-launched cruise missiles;

• 23 Shaheds;

• two operational-tactical drones Orlan-10 and Merlin-BP.

At the same time, the strike drones and several S-300/S-400 were recorded to have been hit in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Local authorities reported that the Russians attacked Kyiv with Kh-101/555 cruise missiles from strategic bombers. At the same time, air defense forces destroyed all enemy air targets, but due to falling debris in the Obolonsky district, the roof of one shopping mall was damaged.

The invaders also hit the Dnipropetrovsk region with missiles and drones. In Dnipro, two houses and cars were damaged, a transport company was destroyed, and two private businesses caught fire. One person was injured. A total of five cruise missiles and six Shaheds were shot down over the region.
