Poland and its allies sent military aircraft into the air on the night of May 26 due to the current massive Russian missile attack on the territory of Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Twitter (X) of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
“Please note that Polish and allied aircraft are operating in the airspace, which may lead to increased noise levels, especially in the southeastern part of the country,” the announcement reads.
The Polish Armed Forces Command noted that last night there was “intense activity” of Russian long-range aviation in connection with the launch of missile strikes “on objects located, among other things, in the western territory of Ukraine.”
The Polish military also recalled that the previous extreme activity of Russian aviation through massive attacks on Ukraine was recorded on the night of May 7-8.
“All necessary procedures have been initiated to ensure the safety of Polish airspace, and the DO RSZ is constantly monitoring the situation,” the announcement reads.-
