Russia complains about a drone attack in the Rostov region

On the night of April 12, air defense forces and equipment were deployed in the Rostov region (Russian Federation) due to a drone attack.


This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of the Governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev.

According to the Russian official, air defense systems were operating near Novoshakhtynsk. The threat of a “UAV attack” was previously announced in the area.

"Air defense forces are repelling a UAV attack near Novoshakhtynsk. The consequences on the ground are being clarified," he said in his post.

Later, the governor said that four drones were allegedly destroyed.

"At 03:10 (local time - ed.) in Novoshakhtynsk, the UAV attack was repelled. Air defense forces destroyed four drones," he said.

Golubev also said that, preliminary, no casualties or damage to facilities were reported.

"The information is being clarified," he added.
