The Russian Cabinet of Ministers has announced that it is considering a ban on Polish trucks transiting Russia.
This was reported by the press service of the Russian government to the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
"The State Duma's appeal to ban the transit of Polish trucks through Russian territory and refueling of Polish carriers' vehicles at Russian retail fuel prices has been received," the press service of the Russian government said.
Earlier, the speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, initiated a ban on Polish trucks crossing Russian territory. Later, Russian deputies at a meeting of the State Duma unanimously supported this initiative, which was allegedly Russia's response to the seizure of Russian diplomatic property and the destruction of Soviet monuments in Poland.
