The Russian occupiers stopped the offensive in Bakhmut to regroup and replace the Wagnerites with regular troops, but at the same time significantly increased the number of artillery attacks on the city.

Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar reported on the enemy's change of tactics on Telegram.

"In fact, the enemy's offensive activity in the Bakhmut direction has been stopped. It seems so on the news that there is a lull there. But it cannot be called a lull. The enemy has increased the number of artillery attacks, which means they are changing their tools. The number of attacks today is commensurate with the times of the heaviest battles for Bakhmut," she wrote.

According to Malyar, the Russians are currently regrouping and replacing the Wagnerites with regular troops, but the Ukrainian military is preventing them from doing so in every way possible.

The defense forces remain in control of the outskirts of Bakhmut in the southwestern part of the city, and the defenders also control the entrance to the city itself.

The deputy defense minister also noted that the advance of Ukrainian troops on the flanks was suspended a few days ago, but the troops are not standing still, they are performing other military tasks aimed at increasing combat capability.

"Both sides are preparing and strengthening for further actions. The struggle for this area continues," summarized Malyar.

Defense forces have made minimal progress in the Bakhmut sector. This was reported today by Stas (Osman), a fighter with the 24th separate assault battalion "Aidar" of the 5th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the telegram channel "Sniper Speaks ✙".

He also said: "...The enemy has deserters, according to intercepts, Kadyrov's men play the role of "military police", catching the "five hundredths"...".

In turn, the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported on its media resources that its unmanned aerial vehicle operators had accurately "bombed" the positions of the Russian occupiers near Bakhmut.
