Russians are deliberately "killing" the concept of nuclear deterrence

The "nuclear" statements of the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko indicate that the Russians are deliberately "killing" the concept of global nuclear deterrence.

According to Censor.NET, Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, tweeted about this.

"Nuclear statements by Lukashenko (the nominal head of Belarus and a VIP war propagandist) directly indicate that Russia is deliberately "killing" the concept of global nuclear deterrence and "burying" the key global nuclear non-proliferation treaty. This fundamentally undermines the principles of global security," he said.

Podoliak noted that there can be only one solution in this situation. The advisor to the head of the OP emphasized that a tough position of the nuclear powers, relevant UN/IAEA resolutions, comprehensive sanctions against Rosatom, and systemic financial sanctions against Belarus and Russia are needed.
