"I thank everyone involved for their excellent professional work. Slovakia is on the right side, and with this gesture, we as a country have written in capital letters in modern world history, which speaks of timely assistance, sincere solidarity, and the greatness of the nation," said Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy.

In the coming weeks, the remaining aircraft will be handed over to Ukraine, but for operational reasons, the ministry is not providing any details.

Their transfer will be confirmed as soon as they are safely handed over to the Ukrainian side, as in this case.

In total, Slovakia is transferring 13 Soviet-made fighter jets to Ukraine.
