This was reported on May 29 by Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol in exile.

According to Andriushchenko, four buses with Russian military personnel arrived at the temporary base the day before, referring to local partisans from the Russian-occupied city.

The strike reportedly destroyed a communications station and electronic warfare system.

According to the adviser, the strike destroyed a five-story building of a medical facility that was used to accommodate a maximum of 120 vacationers. According to him, if the building is converted into barracks, it will be able to accommodate up to 650 soldiers.

As a reminder, after a nearly 3-month siege of Mariupol that killed tens of thousands of civilians, and damaged and destroyed thousands of buildings and major infrastructure, Russia fully occupied the city in May 2022.

The news that Russia could potentially build a logistics hub in Mariupol comes just weeks after Russian dictator Vladimir Putin visited the city in March.
