The G7 wants to impose sanctions against Iranian airline

Some members of the Group of Seven are considering imposing sanctions on Iran Air. This is due to Iran's recent attack on Israel.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bloomberg.

The publication points out that this step will further restrict the Iranian company's flights to Europe.

According to Bloomberg, the sanctions will be part of a punishment designed to further isolate Iran after its attack on Israel using drones and missiles.

However, no final decision on restrictions against Iran has been made, as this measure was previously considered in the event that Tehran provided missiles to Moscow.

Bloomberg writes that any new sanctions against Iran may have limited impact, as Iran Air, the IRGC, and Iranian drone manufacturers are already under restrictions.

However, these sanctions have not been able to prevent Iran from financing the production of the types of weapons that were used in the shelling of Israel.

"Despite this, the allies are determined to express their condemnation of Iran's attack, which for the first time was directed directly against Israel," the newspaper writes.

Iran has been supplying Russia for two years with drones that they use to kill Ukrainians. Why were there no sanctions before that? And even here, they write that these sanctions will not work.
