The United States of America (USA) believes that the threat of an Iranian attack on Israel is real.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the strategic communications coordinator of the US National Security Council, John Kirby, who is quoted by Sky News.
As Kirby noted, the United States is currently reviewing its own military structure in the region against the background of the threat from Iran, as well as monitoring the development of the situation. In particular, he noted that the head of the White House, Joe Biden, receives information about the situation several times a day.
"He (Biden, - ed.) has made it clear to the entire national security team that we will take seriously our commitment to the defense, the self-defense of Israel," Kirby said.
In addition, the White House is waiting for a response from Hamas regarding the latest round of negotiations on the release of the hostages.
