Whatever the outcome of the US congressional elections, which will be held on November 8, bipartisan support for Ukraine will remain, which will enable the continuation of assistance to Ukraine in resisting the aggression of the Russian Federation.
This, as reported by a European Pravda correspondent, was stated by U.S. Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, in a conversation with journalists during a visit to Ukraine.
Sullivan noted that he was not talking about probable, but guaranteed support.
"I'm confident that U.S. support for Ukraine will be unwavering and determined. And I'm not saying it's 'likely' - it will be. I believe it, and President Biden believes it," stressed the White House official in charge of foreign policy and security issues.
Jake Sullivan also reminded that this view was shared by congressmen, in particular by two senators who visited Kyiv this week - Democrat Chris Coons and Republican Rob Portman: "You don't have to rely on my words: there was a bipartisan delegation from the Senate in Kyiv yesterday: Coons and Portman, Democrat and Republican, who confirmed to the press that they believe support will continue. The U.S. will provide the resources necessary to help the people of Ukraine".
He also stressed that we are talking not only about weapons but also about financial aid. As you know, the U.S. provides $1.5 billion a month to pay off the budget deficit when there is a war, which helps to maintain economic stability. He is convinced that there will be support for this with any majority in both houses of Congress.
