The US expects from Israel less aggressive option for Iran's response
US officials believe that Israel's response to a massive Iranian military strike would be limited in scope and could include attacks outside Iran.

Unnamed US officials told the paper that before the Iranian attack, potential Israeli responses ranged from no military action to strikes on Iranian territory.
NBC News sources said that since the Iranian attack did not result in Israeli deaths or widespread destruction, Israel could respond with one of its less aggressive options - strikes outside Iran.
The three US officials specified that such options could include the task of striking on Syrian territory, but not on high-ranking Iranian generals, but on cargoes or warehouses with advanced missile parts, weapons or components that are sent from Iran to Hezbollah.
At the same time, journalists' sources specified that the US will not participate in Iran's response. NBC News analysts expect Israeli authorities to share their plans in advance.
