Ukraine's invitation to NATO could be a key factor in ending the war

The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, said that Ukraine's invitation to join the North Atlantic Alliance could be a key factor in ending the war.

He said this in an interview with Voice of America.

"Yes, I believe that Ukraine's invitation to NATO could be a key factor in ending this war," Yermak said.

According to Yermak, Russia must accept Ukraine's accession to NATO.

"And it will not go anywhere. It will accept it because they have changed reality. They are the ones who attacked Ukraine," said the head of the Presidential Office.

Yermak also said that joining NATO is not only Ukraine's desire but an absolute reality that the modern world and modern Europe need.

"Europe needs a secure world. And it cannot be done without Ukraine," the head of the Presidential Office stated.

As for security guarantees, Yermak added that Ukraine needs them on its way to NATO membership. "Because the main guarantee is NATO membership. NATO is the strongest alliance in the world today. Everyone recognizes this. And I am sure it will remain so," he said.
