"Today we signed an agreement to provide Ukraine with $138 million in critical air defense system upgrades," the ambassador said.

According to her, this funding will help keep Ukraine's air defense system operational during Russia's ongoing attacks on the energy grid and the Ukrainian people.

In March, Russia resumed its attacks on Ukraine's energy sector. After the massive attacks, the situation is most difficult in Kharkiv and the region, where the Zmiivska TPP and CHP-5 were heavily damaged.

On the night of April 11, Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones and missiles. The Air Force reported that the occupiers used 42 missiles of various types and 40 drones. Some of the targets were shot down by air defense.

The enemy attacked the Kharkiv, Lviv, Kyiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Russians attacked critical infrastructure facilities and damaged the power grid.
