Zelenskyy offers Hungarian president to sign security deal

On the sidelines of the Three Seas Initiative summit in Vilnius on 11 April, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the new Hungarian President Tomasz Szuiok.

Zelenskyy wrote about it on Twitter (X).

During the meeting, the presidents of Ukraine and Hungary discussed preparations for the Global Peace Summit to be held in June in Switzerland.

"I invited Hungary to participate in the summit. I offered to join the G7 Vilnius Declaration of Support for Ukraine and start working on a bilateral security agreement," the president added.

Zelenskyy also thanked Hungary "for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine".
