Zelenskyy talks to Stoltenberg before the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on April 17.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the President's Telegram.
The President noted that the Secretary General confirmed the convening of an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at Ukraine's request. It will be held on April 19 at the level of defense ministers.
"I am grateful to Jens Stoltenberg and partners for their quick response. Ukraine needs immediate steps to strengthen its air defense," the president wrote.
Zelenskyy also informed Stoltenberg about the morning attack on a hotel in Chernihiv by the Russian occupiers and the consequences of Russian terror for the Ukrainian energy sector.
The president and the NATO secretary general also discussed the status of initiatives to supply Ukraine with missiles.
Dear Stoltenberg, you are the head of the most powerful military organization in the world. Why do you only talk about Ukraine needing help? Why is there no real help from NATO?
