Prigozhin, whom the Russian political establishment sees as a growing threat, is struggling with a shortage of manpower and ammunition in Ukraine after he was banned from recruiting people in prison.

The Wagner mercenaries have never been able to capture Bakhmut, despite months of attempts and heavy casualties. Meanwhile, after weeks of public complaints about the lack of shells and other supplies, Prigozhin admitted that Wagner would have to "reset and scale down" after the battle for Bakhmut was over.

The publication's sources note that now Prigozhin plans to focus on Africa again, as the situation in Ukraine has become more difficult for his forces.

Thus, there have already appeared ads for hiring mercenaries in the Wagner PMC for 6 months in Ukraine and for 9-14 months in Africa. In this case, those wishing to serve in African countries will be enrolled to the reserve.

As a reminder, in the coming weeks, the Wagner PMC may lose most of the convicts mercenaries, because they can leave the ranks of the group upon completion of six-month contracts.
