Over the past two days, Russian missiles have hit about a third of Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko in an interview with CNN.

The official noted that one of the reasons is that the export of Ukrainian electricity to Europe "helps European countries save on Russian gas and coal."

Galushchenko stressed that Ukraine is trying to "quickly resume supplies from other sources."

At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian energy system "is still stable," but called for the provision of air defenses.

"We are sending this message to our partners: we need to protect the sky. The Russians don't play any games with international law. They don't care about any international agreements or conventions," the head of the Energy Ministry added.

As a reminder, on October 11, Russian occupants shelled the Lviv region. As a result of the attack, two power substations were destroyed.

Earlier we wrote that the Russian Federation twice attacked the Ladyzhyn thermal power plant in Vinnitsya Region with kamikaze drones.
