U.S. plans to transfer Abrams tanks to Ukraine by the end of the year

The United States plans to transfer Abrams tanks to Ukraine by the end of the year.
This was announced by Sabrina Singh, deputy spokeswoman of the US Department of Defense, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to a briefing.
"The training (of the Ukrainian military, - ed.) has not started yet. Our goal is to deliver them (Abrams tanks, - ed.) to Ukraine by the end of the year, but this is the only timeframe I can name right now," she said.
Earlier, it was reported that the Ukrainian military exercises using American Abrams M1A1 tanks have not started yet, but should start "relatively soon".
It should be noted that the United States will provide Ukraine with the Abrams M1A1 instead of the M1A2 version. This will speed up deliveries of the tanks.
