Russian troops put pressure on Vuhledar from three sides

Russian troops are pressing on Vuhledar, Donetsk region, from three sides. The situation is not likely to change over the next week.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a report by British military intelligence.

According to the military, Russian troops have made further progress in the Vuhledar area.

“It is likely that Russian troops are now threatening the city from three sides. It is likely that Russian troops will continue to press this well-protected part of the line over the next week,” the report says, adding that the Russians are already storming the outskirts of the city.

In addition, according to British intelligence, Russian troops are fighting in the eastern half of Toretsk, south of Pokrovsk, and “have made only slow progress around Chasovyi Yar.”

“It is likely that Russian troops are attacking several targets simultaneously to stretch Ukrainian forces. However, this has also prevented Russia from concentrating its forces in one point of the line to have a greater effect,” the document states.
