Biden ordered to “move heaven and earth” to help Ukraine

U.S. President Joe Biden has instructed to “move heaven and earth” to ensure that Ukraine receives all the help it needs. He is determined to support the country at the end of his presidential term.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to an interview with Michael Carpenter, Director for Europe at the US National Security Council, for Voice of America.

According to Carpenter, the White House does not know what Biden's reaction will be to the “victory plan” that will be presented by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy next week.

“But, of course, President Biden is absolutely determined to support Ukraine and put it in the strongest position possible at the end of his tenure. And he has instructed all of us who work for him to move heaven and earth to make sure that we provide all, especially military assistance,” he said.

This assistance also includes energy security, which was part of the supplemental funding bill approved in April.

As for the authorization of long-range weapons strikes deep into Russian territory, the comments suggest that this may be a topic for discussion. “But again, I don't have any reports today,” Carpenter added.

According to him, there are very active discussions on this issue today. “And we do believe that Ukraine needs to have long-range capabilities that it can use,” the White House official said.
