Zelenskyy to meet with Japanese Prime Minister in the US

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. They will hold talks during a visit to the United States.

The Japanese Prime Minister begins his last visit to the United States today, September 21. He will soon leave the post of prime minister.

In the US, Kishida will meet with US President Joe Biden at the US leader's private residence in Delaware. A summit will also be held with the participation of Japan, the United States, Australia, and India. According to the newspaper, the countries are expected to agree to strengthen cooperation on maritime security amid China's growing aggression.

The Japanese leader will take part in the UN General Assembly in New York. Kishida plans to call for UN reform. He is also likely to emphasize the importance of promoting efforts to ban nuclear weapons.

The Japanese prime minister will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who will be visiting the United States at the same time. He is expected to convey Japan's intention to maintain support for Kyiv and sanctions against Russia.
