Sep 23, 2024

Europe will have to ‘rethink’ its relations with the Russian Federation (RF) after a full-scale war in Ukraine. The new reality requires building a new international order.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to French President Emmanuel Macron during the Meeting for Peace.

‘We will have to think about a new form of organisation for Europe and rethink our relations with Russia after the war in Ukraine,’ Macron said.

At the same time, the French president noted that the new reality in Europe requires a new international order, which was conceived at the end of World War II and did not have the problems that later emerged and became dominant.

‘...most of the countries on this planet and many of the most populous countries did not exist when the seats were allocated. That is why the international order in which the world lives today is ‘blocked’, he added.

In conclusion, Macron said that Europe needs an order where some countries cannot block others and where countries are represented with dignity.
