US to announce military aid package for Ukraine tomorrow - media
The United States may announce another package of military aid to Ukraine tomorrow. It will include air-to-ground missiles for F-16s.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Voice of America.
According to the publication's sources, the total cost of the weapons included in the new package will be up to $375 million. This will be the largest package for Ukraine from the United States since May.
One of the unnamed officials told reporters that the package will include missiles for F-16s to strike ground targets. Such missiles will allow Ukrainian F-16s to operate far from the front lines and enemy air defense systems.
In addition, according to VoA sources, the package will include shells for HIMARS, patrol boats and armored vehicles, as well as 155-mm shells, 105-mm shells and TOW missiles.
This assistance will be provided under the President's arms reduction mandate. In this case, the weapons will be sent to Ukraine from US stockpiles.
