According to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the new aid package includes patrol boats, additional ammunition for the Highly Mobile Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 155-mm and 105-mm artillery ammunition, western parts, and other weapons.

At the same time, the content and size of the package may change in the coming days before it is signed by US President Joe Biden.

Reuters notes that since the beginning of May 2024, the United States has not sent an aid package to Ukraine worth more than $275 million.

In particular, after the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an operation in the Kursk region, America sent two packages of $125 million each.

At the same time, Reuters reminded that the United States has $5.5 billion left under the presidential authority to reduce arms for Ukraine. However, they expire this month. In this regard, pro-Ukrainian leaders in the US Congress and the Biden administration are working on an agreement to extend the program for a year.
