President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will push U.S. President Joe Biden to issue an official invitation to Ukraine to join NATO and commit to a steady supply of advanced weapons as part of the president's victory plan.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bloomberg.
Zelenskyy is expected to present the plan to Biden during their meeting in Washington on September 26.
The document, according to the agency's sources, also provides a clear path to Ukraine's membership in the European Union.
The journalists' interlocutors said that some of Ukraine's supporters are beginning to consider options for a negotiated ceasefire. During these discussions, Zelenskyy has maintained his previous position that Ukraine cannot give up territory seized by Russia, one of the sources said.
