Zelenskyy talks to members of the US Congress about the Victory Plan

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with a bipartisan delegation of the US Congress. The parties discussed the situation at the front and the Victory Plan.

It is noted that the meeting was attended by Senate members Ben Cardin, Dan Sullivan, Christopher Murphy, and House member Gregory Meeks.

“We are grateful for the support of both parties and both houses of the US Congress, President Biden. And, of course, we are here to thank your people,” Zelenskyy said.

According to the OP, the president spoke in detail about the situation at the front, the course of the operation in the Kursk region, the needs of Ukrainian soldiers and the importance of timely delivery of defense packages.

In addition, special attention was paid to the Victory Plan, which Volodymyr Zelenskyy will present this week to US President Joe Biden, the US Congress, and two presidential candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

“This is a very specific plan to strengthen Ukraine without any decisions or pressure from Russia. This plan does not depend on any decisions of Putin,” the head of state added.

Commenting on the meeting on his Telegram channel, Zelenskyy emphasized that decisive action now could accelerate the just end of Russian aggression against Ukraine next year.

“Our plan of victory will help to bring (force - ed.) Russia to peace in practice,” the president said.

The meeting also discussed the prospects for implementing reconstruction projects. The Presidential Administration's website reports that one of the key areas of focus ahead of winter is to strengthen the Ukrainian energy system.

In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that it is important to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
