“Since October 2022, the enemy has struck more than a thousand times at civilian energy infrastructure facilities. Of course, this affects the stability of the power system. Nevertheless, the largest repair campaign is currently underway. In fact, we are focused on restoring the operation of those energy facilities where repairs are possible,” he said.

The Deputy Energy Minister also commented on the statement by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga that Russia is planning to strike Ukraine's critical nuclear energy facilities before winter. He noted that the relevant intelligence information has already been shared with partners and the IAEA.

“The latest enemy attack on August 26 showed that the enemy deliberately hits the facilities, substations on which the operation of nuclear power plants depends,” added Kolisnyk.
