Air strike in Zaporizhzhya: SES showed the consequences of the shelling

In Zaporizhzhia, 13 people have been reported wounded in a Russian strike involving preliminary guided bombs late on Sunday evening, September 22. There is a child among the victims.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) and the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov.

Earlier in the night, there were reports of nine people injured in Zaporizhzhia.

Rescuers evacuated residents of damaged apartment buildings, and one woman was unblocked from her own apartment.

The SES also added that the glazing and facades of apartment buildings were damaged. They also managed to extinguish the fire in a car and the balcony of one of the apartments on a total area of 10 square meters.

“Emergency work was carried out to dismantle the destroyed structures of the entrance to the apartments,” the emergency service said in a statement.

The State Emergency Service noted that a total of 47 rescuers and 10 units of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia.

“Police officers, explosives experts, volunteers of the Rapid Response Unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society and other specialized services of the city were working on the ground,” the rescuers said.
