Russia conducts provocations to identify firing positions of the AFU

The Russian command seeks to preserve equipment and weapons. Therefore, it is using manpower to detect Ukrainian firing positions.

According to RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by Vitaliy Sarantsev, a spokesman for the Kharkiv military unit, during a telethon.

“The enemy prefers to keep equipment and weapons rather than protect its own personnel. That's why they often send people to some incomprehensible assaults. People are sent to assault operations, using them as a bait to get the Defense Forces to start practicing on them,” he said.

According to him, in this way the Russians are trying to find out the fire system of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and inflict damage. However, those people are definitely killed by Ukrainian military fire.

Currently, Vovchansk and the neighboring settlements remain the hottest spot in the sector. In particular, in Vovchansk, the Russians keep trying to expand their control zone using all available forces and means - they are shelling the city with MLRS or heavy flamethrower systems.

“Sometimes the enemy manages to hit their own units. “Friendly fire” indicates that the enemy is in a state of despair or maximum anger and has a task to advance to their unit, which continues to be blocked at the aggregate plant. Of course, the enemy does not succeed, because we take into account all available means and capabilities of the enemy. We are aware of all the forces he is deploying to re-form assault groups and reinforce the stormtroopers who are going into battle,” he emphasized.
