UK responds to whether its position on Storm Shadow strikes has changed

The UK government has not changed its position on the use of the Storm Shadow missile by the Ukrainian military to strike Russia.

This was stated by the spokesperson for the British Prime Minister, Kira Starmer, RBC-Ukraine reports citing The Guardian.

‘We remain in constant contact with the Ukrainians and will always listen to their position. As you can expect, we will focus on a number of issues at the UNGA, including continued support for Ukraine in its defence against Russian aggression, as well as a ceasefire in Gaza and de-escalation of tensions in Lebanon and others,’ she said.

Commenting on the use of Storm Shadow missiles, the spokesperson stressed that the UK's position remains unchanged.

‘When it comes to this, our position remains unchanged. Our current discussions on Ukraine are not about one particular type of military equipment. It's a wider discussion about strategy and how we support Ukraine at a crucial time over the next few months and as we head into winter,’ she said.
