Ukraine should accept Russia's temporary control over certain territories

Ukraine needs to accept that some territories may remain under Russian control. Even if it is temporary control.
This was stated by Czech President Petr Pavel, RBC-Ukraine reports citing The New York Times.
According to Pavel, it is time for Ukrainians and their supporters to face the truth. In his opinion, at a time when countries friendly to Russia are undermining European unity over the war, Ukraine “should be realistic” about its prospects for returning the occupied territories.
“The most likely outcome of the war will be that part of the Ukrainian territory will be under Russian occupation, temporarily,” Pavel said.
He added that this “temporary” could last for years.
