On the night of September 23-24, a powerful explosion occurred in Kharkiv. At the same time, air raid alerts continued in the city and region.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram of Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov and the monitoring channel “Air Alert Map.
“There was a strong explosion in Kharkiv. Be careful,” he wrote at 03:39.
At first, it was not known what caused the explosion. But before that, at 01:13, the Ukrainian Air Force warned that there was a threat of ballistic missile attacks from the Belgorod region, in the areas where air alert was declared.
It should be noted that a few minutes after Terekhov's message, the air alert was canceled.

The mayor of Kharkiv clarified that the arrival was recorded in the Kyiv district of the city. According to preliminary information, it was a missile.
“It hit the ground in an open area, a fire is being extinguished by the State Emergency Service. There is no information about the victims,” he wrote.-
