Denmark has announced its intention to close its embassy in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on 31 May.

This is stated in a statement by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.

According to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the closure of the embassy is due to the withdrawal of security and escort forces, as well as support personnel who participated in the NATO mission in Iraq.
