According to the publication, the Polish Sejm held the second reading of the bill, the adoption of which will legally confiscate Russian assets.

In particular, the bill is proposed to supplement the paragraph, which would allow the Polish State Treasury to seize the property under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Poland, which can be used to support the Russian aggression. At the expense of the confiscated assets it is offered to finance the programs of support for the victims of Russian aggression.

According to Lukasz Schreiber, Minister of the Polish Council of Ministers, the amount of frozen assets of Russian oligarchs exceeds 1 billion euros, "so we are talking about a fairly large resource”.

Schreiber urged the parliamentary opposition to support the proposed bill.

"You are not convinced by what is happening in the Russian Duma? Are you not convinced by the words of Dmitry Medvedev, who sees no point in continuing diplomatic relations with Poland, and the former Commissioner for Children's Rights called for the murder of the Polish ambassador?" he asked.

The proposed bill has been referred to a special parliamentary commission, which is considering proposals to amend the country's constitution.
