Russians may have brought hypersonic Killjoy missiles to Belarus

Nov 1, 2022

Russian troops have probably moved hypersonic Killjoy missiles to Belarus. But stocks of these missiles are very limited.

This is reported with reference to the review of the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

British intelligence publishes satellite images of the Belarusian airfield Machulishchi, where two MiG-31K fighters are parked, which can carry Killjoy (Kinzhal) missiles.

They claim that a large canister was stored near the planes, which is quite likely associated with ballistic air-launched Killjoy missiles.

It is noted that Russia has been using these missiles since 2018, but they were not previously recorded in Belarus.

Russia has occasionally launched these weapons during the Ukraine war, but stocks are likely very limited.,” the Defense Ministry said.

In addition, British intelligence explained that the deployment of these missiles in Belarus gives Russia a small additional advantage in terms of hitting additional targets in Ukraine.

“It has likely carried out the deployment mainly to message to the West and to portray Belarus as increasingly complicit in the war,” the British Ministry of Defense believes.

Earlier Britain evaluated the combat capabilities of the Belarusian army. They believe that the formation of joint forces with the Russian Federation of 85 thousand people is unlikely.
