EU ambassadors agree on a compromise on trade terms with Ukraine

EU ambassadors have agreed to update and extend the liberalized trade agreement with Ukraine.

The Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union reported this on Twitter (X).

"EU ambassadors have agreed a new compromise on the extension of trade measures for Ukraine, which provides a balanced approach between supporting Ukraine and protecting EU agricultural markets," the statement said.

The Belgian presidency added that this compromise still needs to be approved by the European Parliament.
