An affiliate of the Islamic State group, which claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall in the Moscow region of Russia, has made several attempts to attack France.

When asked about the terrorist attack in Russia, he said that the same group involved in the events at Crocus City Hall "has made several attempts on our soil in recent months".

The French prime minister's residence had previously stated that the group involved in the attack threatened France and had been involved in several recent foiled attacks in several European countries, including Germany and France.

Macron expressed his wish to "find the perpetrators as soon as possible" and called for continued "effective action against these groups that are planning attacks in several countries," promising "increased cooperation" with Russia in this regard.
