"On 27 March 2024, Chargé d'Affaires of the Russian Embassy Oleg Zykov was summoned to the Latvian Foreign Ministry, where he was given the strongest protest... in connection with the unacceptable and provocative public communication that the embassy has been conducting for a long period, which is grossly contrary to the letter and spirit of the Vienna Convention...", the ministry said.

According to the report, despite repeated reprimands from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian Embassy continues to conduct incorrect public communication aimed at discrediting state institutions and authorities of the Latvian state and inciting hatred in Latvian society.
