NATO fighter jets took to the air five times to detect and escort aircraft of the Russian Federation over the past week.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine regarding the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.
It is noted that on March 18, NATO planes detected a Russian Il-20 flying without a flight plan and transponder turned on.
The next day, NATO planes took off to recognize and escort Russian Su-24MR, Il-76 and Il-20.
And on March 21, NATO air police fighters took off to identify and escort the Il-20 aircraft.
In all these cases, the Russian ships moved in the area of the Kaliningrad region.
