The Netherlands is ready to consider the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine if a correspondent request is received from the Ukrainian government.
This was reported by the Dutch outlet NL Times.
"The Dutch Cabinet will look into supplying F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine if the Kyiv government asks for it," the edition quotes Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra.
As noted by the media, he made such a statement during the parliamentary debates on Thursday.
According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Netherlands will consider such a request "openly”.
As a reminder, it was recently reported that the Netherlands is ready to pay for Leopard tanks for Ukraine.
Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren noted that her country had previously paid for Soviet T-72 tanks sent to Kyiv from the Czech Republic, and this approach could be replicated for German-made Leopard tanks.
