Poland to deploy a military helicopter base near the border

Polish authorities are planning to set up a base for deploying military helicopters in the city of Świdnik, Lublin Voivodeship.
This was reported by the country's Ministry of Defence on Twitter (X).
According to the head of the ministry, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the letter of intent was signed by the Ministry of Defence, the city of Lublin, the Lublin Voivodeship, and Lublin Airport.
"We have signed a letter of intent between the Ministry of Defence and the City of Lublin, Lublin Voivodeship, and Lublin Airport regarding the investment planned by the Polish Armed Forces - the placement of a permanent helicopter airbase... at Lublin Airport, which will serve the Polish Armed Forces," he said.
