Russia bribed members of the European Parliament to spread propaganda.
This was stated by Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Kroo, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Politico.
According to him, this week, close cooperation was established between the Belgian and Czech special services to defeat the Russian propaganda network.
"For example, it turned out that Russia was contacting members of the European Parliament, but also paying them to promote Russian propaganda here," de Kroo said.
The representative of the Belgian prime minister also told the publication that he was speaking in the context of the Czech Republic's sanctions against the Voice of Europe news site. It was also used to spread Russian propaganda.
