The experience of this time has shown that the enemy is using Zircon missiles with increased activity, which indicates that the air alert for ballistic missiles from the south will extend as far as the Kyiv region.
This was stated by the spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine Natalia Gumenyuk, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the telethon broadcast.
"The enemy has several dozen of these missiles in the accumulation on a military hub like Crimea, and it can continue from time to time to carry out targeted terror with an emphasis on the capital," Gumenyuk said.
She added that currently, the enemy's priority is still the method of terrorist pressure, and when there is a threat of ballistic weapons from the south, the southern and southeastern regions usually turn red on the alert map.
