Mar 27, 2024

On 27 March, the United States and the United Kingdom announced joint sanctions against two individuals and three legal entities for their involvement in financing the Hamas terrorist group.

This was reported by the US Treasury Department.

The sanctions imposed by London and Washington include Al-Qureshi Executives and Aakhirah Limited and their director, Aozma Sultana, who raised funds for Hamas after its attack on Israel in October 2023.

The sanctions list also includes Gaza Now, the company that owns the website of the same name, and its director Mustafa Ayash. Both also raised funds for Hamas.

"The United States, in close coordination with our British partners, will continue to use our tools to undermine Hamas' ability to facilitate further attacks," commented US Treasury Under Secretary Brian Nelson.
