Zelenskyy talks about his conversation with US House Speaker Johnson
On 28 March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had a telephone conversation with Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson.
He wrote about it on his Telegram channel.
During the conversation, Zelenskyy thanked Johnson, both parties of Congress, the US President, and Americans in general for supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
He also told the speaker of the lower house of Congress about the recent Russian shelling and destruction of infrastructure and stressed the need to approve additional aid for Ukraine as soon as possible.
"We are aware that there are different positions in the House of Representatives on how to do this, but the main thing is that the issue of assistance to Ukraine remains a factor of unity," Zelenskyy added.
The parties also discussed the need to combat the sources of Russia's financing of the war and the use of frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.
